Through age-appropriate curriculum, hands-on learning experiences, creative play, and meaningful social interaction, children develop the foundational skills needed for future academic success. Our Programs

Two & Three-Year-Old Program

Learning Through Discovery & Imagination

Our youngest learners explore the world through play, creativity, and hands-on experiences. Through a nurturing environment, children build early academic and social skills while developing confidence and curiosity.

Children are introduced to letters and sounds, numbers and counting, shapes and colors, sensory exploration, music and movement, and important social skills and classroom routines. These experiences help create a strong foundation for future learning while encouraging curiosity and independence.

Four & Five-Year-Old Program

Preparing for Kindergarten Success

Our Pre-K program helps children build the skills needed for a successful transition to kindergarten through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

Children participate in learning experiences that support early reading and writing, mathematics, science exploration, critical thinking, social-emotional development, and communication skills. Through guided instruction and active exploration, they develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning as they prepare for their next educational journey.

Full Time Program

Our Most Comprehensive Learning Experience

Our full-time program offers the most consistent and immersive educational experience. With five days of structured learning, enrichment, and social development, children benefit from routine, continuity, and deeper academic engagement.

This option is ideal for those seeking a strong daily rhythm that maximizes both kindergarten readiness and confidence-building. The extended weekly exposure allows children to fully absorb skills, strengthen friendships, and thrive within a stable, predictable environment.

Attendance Days: Monday - Friday

3-Day Part-Time Program

Balanced Structure with Flexibility

Our three-day program offers a thoughtful balance between home time and structured learning. Children receive consistent academic instruction and social interaction while maintaining flexibility in their weekly schedule.

This option works beautifully for families who want intentional early education without a five-day commitment. The program provides strong developmental progress while allowing time for other activities or family-centered days.

A Gentle, Engaging Introduction to Preschool

A Whole-Child Approach to Learning

Right Start Academy utilizes research-based, age-appropriate curricula designed to support every aspect of a child’s development.

During the school year, students participate in structured academic instruction, while summer programming incorporates increased recreation, exploration, and social development activities.

Each month features a dedicated learning unit, which is broken into weekly themes, projects, and classroom experiences.

Academic Curriculum

Building Kindergarten Readiness

As a kindergarten preparatory preschool, Right Start Academy is dedicated to providing students with the tools necessary for successful entrance into public or private grade school. To help assure this, Right Start Academy utilizes the Houghton Mifflin Curriculum for our academic program. The Houghton Mifflin Curriculum is a hands-on, minds-on curriculum that is based on scientific research and aligned with key Pre-K learning goals. Through literacy, letter recognition, early reading skills, mathematics, science exploration, critical thinking, and problem-solving activities, children develop the foundational skills needed for long-term academic success and lifelong learning.

Physical Education Curriculum

Healthy Bodies, Active Minds

At Right Start Academy, physical wellness is an essential part of early childhood development. Daily movement supports healthy growth, focus, confidence, coordination, and overall well-being. National health guidelines emphasize the importance of regular physical activity throughout the day for young children. To support this, Right Start Academy incorporates the SPARK Early Childhood Curriculum into our weekly schedule. Students participate in structured, instructor-led physical activity sessions at least twice per week, focusing on gross motor development, balance, coordination, strength building, and teamwork through engaging movement-based activities. Through intentional movement, we support the development of the whole child.

Social-Emotional Curriculum

Developing Essential Life Skills

Right Start Academy utilizes the Second Step Early Learning Program to help children develop self-regulation and executive-function skills that support emotional growth and positive social interactions. Through bi-weekly lessons, students learn how to manage their feelings, solve problems, build friendships, communicate respectfully, and make positive decisions. These important life skills are reinforced throughout the month by classroom teachers, while home-link resources are shared with families to encourage continued learning and support beyond the classroom.
